Entrance
Plaza:
With the help of a lead gift from the CVM Class of 94, a landscaped
sitting area was created near the main entrance of the teaching hospital.
Clients, students and staff use it. Future plans include renovation
to the entrance area itself so that it can better accommodate mobility-impaired
clients. |

Equine Rounds
Room:
A room just for equine clients, students and clinicians was recently
built. This room provides a quiet place away from the noisy reception
area where doctors can speak with clients. The equine rounds room
is also used by doctors and students to meet for discussion about
their cases. |

J.D. Consultation
/ Comfort Room:
A warm and tender feeling is conveyed though the comfortable furniture
and gentle lighting of the J.D. Consultation Room. This special room
was created to provide a private place for families to use when they
are consulting with the medical team about the options facing a seriously
ill companion animal. The room was furnished by an Ames family that
had gone through the experience of euthanizing a cherished companion.
It is named for J.D., their English Pointer. Families also use the
room when their pet is undergoing a serious surgery. |
