Auri was a very special dog to me and all her friends. Her life was made much easier in these last years because of the successful surgery your clinic performed when her bilateral hip dysplasia was diagnosed in 1989 -- she was only 14 months. She was known as the bionic dog, never slowing from running and jumping until the day she died. Her heart wasn't as strong.

Aurea Puella

Auri spent the last twelve summers with me in the mountains, accompanying me on hikes, chasing the deer, digging for ground squirrels, and just enjoying the freedom of the hillside. It was her favorite place as well as mine and so I decided to bury her ashes there.

Sister Margaret, Davenport, IA.
In memory of her dog, Aurea Puella.

Auri's surgery was performed by the veterinarians and students at ISU.
