Lady was a frequent patient at the ISU Small Animal Clinic. Dr. Liz Goldman treated Lady in Dr. Ridgway's absence, and it was Dr. Goldman who showed compassion for us as well as for Lady when there was nothing more to do. She knew exactly what to say and do to guide us in our decision to euthanize Lady so that she could die with dignity. She made us realize this was the last thing we could do for her; responsible pet owners know when it is time to say goodbye.

    Lady

We believe that under their care, Lady enjoyed at least two additional years of life. While we are devastated by our loss, we are comforted by the support of the staff, students, and doctors at the small animal clinic. We are impressed with the program and the doctors who serve as mentors, because gentle doctors, we discovered, show compassion for not only companion animals but their families as well.
