The PhD degree requires 72 credits. Twelve must be taken outside of VPTH.

The departmental DVM requirement can be waived by the DEO for non-DVM students in Cellular and Molecular Pathology.

The Cellular and Molecular Pathology specialization will not prepare or qualify the student to sit for the examination for certification by the ACVP in anatomical or clinical pathology.
