Dr. Yoon specializes in viral infectious diseases of livestock. His
expertise is animal virology and viral immunology. His primary areas of
research are pathogenesis, immunobiology, diagnostics, molecular virology,
and disease control including vaccine. Current research activities focus
on PRRS virus, swine influenza virus, porcine circovirus, and viral agents
involved in the safety of xenotransplanation or with zoonotic potential
