Research Interests / Areas of Expertise:
Dr. Wannemuehler investigates the interactions between host and bacterial pathogens with regards to mucosal immunity and inflammatory diseases of the bowel. He is particularly interested in the role normal flora has on development of mucosal immunity and mechanisms of antigen-specific T cell responses to regulate inflammation.
