About the Program:

The Fort Dodge Animal Health Fellowship in Veterinary Medicine has been established by Fort Dodge Animal Health Division of American Home Products Corporation to honor and recognize the many contributions of former Dean, Dr. Richard F. Ross. The fellowship will provide support for graduate education in the College of Veterinary Medicine.  The award is for a one-quarter-time research assistantship in the amount of $15,000 per year.  It may be used to supplement existing support. The award selections will be based on the student’s academic performance and research project/interests.  The award is for one year.  Previous awardees are eligible to re-apply for continued support.  An annual report must be submitted to the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies.  The Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies will be responsible for the selection of the recipients, with recommendations from the Research Advisory Committee.  The veterinary administration will oversee the fellowship program.
