College Facts

Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine was the first public veterinary college established in the United States (1879) and the college has graduated over 6,200 veterinarians to date.

The pathology training program for board-certification is ranked second in the U.S. by the American College of Veterinary Pathology.

Approximately 25 percent of the college's graduates pursue advanced degrees and/or specialized training through residencies and internships.
