SPRING 2013 Tour Schedule

The College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University has experienced significant structural growth in the last five years. We continue to renovate our hospital to provide quality healthcare to the public and our college to ensure an exceptional education to our students. Tours of the college are provided by the Veterinary Ambassadors, students who are enrolled in the professional curriculum. All visitors must complete an online tour request at least 5 working days prior to the requested tour date. Maximum tour size is 10 visitors (no exceptions will be made). We are unable to accommodate “walk-in” visitors.

TOUR SCHEDULE

Monday: 10:00a-12:00p; 2:00p-4:00p (last tour for morning begins at 11a; last tour for afternoon begins at 3p)
Tuesday: 9:00a-12:00p (last tour begins at 11a)
Wednesday: 1:00p-3:00p (last tour begins at 2p)
Thursday: 9:00a-12:00p (last tour begins at 11a)
Friday: NO TOURS

NOTE: There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this schedule. If these times do not meet your needs you are encouraged to come to the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine OPEN HOUSE (see below).

TOUR INFORMATION:

High school (15 years old) and college/post baccalaureate prospective students. Tours include the various classrooms and associated technology, the Packer Heritage Room and college art-work, and the Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center (small and large animal hospitals).

Children’s groups (Individuals under the age of 15) are provided tours at the annual College of Veterinary Medicine Open House.

College of Veterinary Medicine Open House (April 20, 2013) is a college-wide showcase of the veterinary program. This Open House is geared toward families and prospective students with something for EVERYONE. Displays, hands-on activities, demonstrations, exhibits, seminars and a petting zoo are among the activities offered to visitors. The event is free and open to the public.
