Effective June 1, 2021
Dear Valued Client,
We are pleased to announce that as of June 1, 2021, the Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center (LVMC) at ISU is back to normal operations for appointments. Masks are still encouraged for those that are not fully vaccinated, but the lobby and in-person interactions with the Senior Veterinary Medicine Students are now open and allowed. For your safety, we are restricting client access into the Equine and Food Animal barn and treatment rooms.
When you arrive for your appointment, pull up close to the gate at the entrance to Large Animal Parking Lot. Park your truck and trailer and come into the Large Animal Reception desk to complete any necessary paperwork. For Equine patients, we will ask that you go back to your trailer and a highly trained member of our hospital staff will come out to greet you and walk your horse(s) into the hospital. For Production Animal patients, you will be asked to wait in line to unload your animal(s) by backing up to the chute entrance when clear. A highly trained member of our hospital staff will be there to greet you and help you unload. You can return and stay in the lobby or go about your day. Ongoing communication will be by telephone. The Vending Room and Restrooms are open for public use.
When you return to pick up your animal, again please check in at the front desk; we will check you out and have you pay your bill as payment is due at time of discharge. Discharge instructions will be given and a staff member will then help load your animal.
We are excited to be able to resume in person visits and we can’t wait to see you.
