Effective June 1, 2021
Dear Valued Client,
We are pleased to announce that as of June 1, 2021, the Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center (LVMC) at ISU is back to normal operations for appointments. Masks are still encouraged for those that are not fully vaccinated, but the lobby, exam rooms, and in-person interactions with the Senior Veterinary Medicine Students are now open and allowed.
When you arrive for your appointment, please park in the designated Client Parking Lot, located on the left side of the driveway leading to the front of the building. The Circle Drive should only be used for Emergency Drop Offs. You do not have to call before you come in, as the doors are now open. Upon entering the building, please check in with an available receptionist. There, you will complete any necessary paperwork and allow us to call up the student. You are now able to wait in our reception area; there are two waiting annexes for our canine friends and two for our feline friends. The Vending Room and Restrooms are open for public use.
The student will find you and lead you back to an exam room where they will obtain the patient history. From there, you will receive instructions on whether you will be staying in the exam room, returning to the lobby, or leaving to go about your day. Please keep in mind that some visits may take a few hours and most diagnostic imaging and surgical procedures are typically done the next day or later dependent on urgency.
When you return to pick up your pet, again please check in at the front desk; we will then page the student to come get you from the reception area to return to an exam room. There, you will receive your discharge information, medications, and your pet. Before you leave, please stop at the check-out side to settle your bill and set up any follow-up appointments.
We are excited to be able to resume in person visits and we can’t wait to see you.
